  • ISPE — International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering Primary professional organisation for pharma process engineers. Publishes GAMP guidelines, Baseline Guides for facility design, and CIP/SIP standards for regulated environments.
  • ICH — International Council for Harmonisation Develops technical guidelines for pharmaceutical quality, safety, and efficacy. ICH Q7 (GMP for active substances) and Q9 (quality risk management) are relevant for process engineers.
  • EMA — European Medicines Agency EU regulatory authority for medicines. EMA GMP guidelines cover equipment design, cleaning validation, and process validation requirements for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
